Paspaley Group

Peter Bracher is the grandson of Nicholas Paspaley MBE, the founder of Paspaley Pearling Company Pty Ltd. Together with his brother Michael, Peter oversees the company’s global wholesale distribution operations.

Born and raised in Darwin, Peter was educated at The King’s School in Sydney before returning to the Northern Territory to work on Paspaley’s pearling ships and farms. He later pursued a Bachelor of Laws at Northern Territory University, graduating in 1996. After completing his degree, Peter accepted a position at Jackson McDonald Lawyers in Perth, Western Australia.

In 1998, Peter joined the Australian Pearl Centre (APC) Pty Ltd, a newly formed pearl distribution company in Sydney. Two years later, when APC became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Paspaley Group, Peter moved to Hong Kong to manage the company’s wholesale distribution office. After two successful years in Hong Kong, he returned to Sydney to lead APC’s Australian operations.

In 2008,  Peter and Michael jointly assumed leadership of Paspaley’s global wholesale business. As an Executive Director, Peter serves on the boards of several companies within the Paspaley Group. He is also a Vice President of the Pearl Commission of CIBJO, the international confederation of national jewellery trade organisations, dedicated to protecting consumer trust in the pearl industry.
